Opening ceremony
Chamerstrasse and Maihölzli development

Perfect weather, a great atmosphere, a 200-metre-long tavolata and around 2'000 Hünenbergers in party mood. In streets closed to traffic, there was celebration, laughter and dancing. And for good reason, because the redesign of Chamerstrasse and the Maihölzli development have been completed.

The opening ceremony in the middle of Chamerstrasse provided a number of surprises. For a start, the three host entities – representatives of Hünenberg municipality, Jego AG and Cham-Hünenberg parish – arrived on cargo bikes from all directions bringing the aperitif. Then, out of nowhere, 100 dancers from the Matchless Dance School and Up2Dance appeared in flash mob-like fashion and put on an amazing performance before forming the official opening ribbon. Together with the local populace, this was duly cut.

Throughout the evening, street artists, local ensembles and Hünenberg associations livened up Chamerstrasse and provided a variety of entertainment.

Furrer Events assisted the three host entities with the brainstorming, design and production of the event. Alongside the infrastructure, catering and technology, this also included security and safety planning and the obtaining of permits.
